Frequently asked questions
Short answers. The app has the full guide in Settings → How it works.
What does PerkWatch do?
PerkWatch is an iPhone app that tracks the statement credits on the credit cards you already have. Add your cards, and Hub shows what’s still unused, most urgent first. When you use a credit, log it in a tap or two.
Each card page also has a setup checklist for credits that need enrollment, and, if you serve, MLA and SCRA fee notes. Your tracker stays on your phone. There’s no PerkWatch account and no bank connection.
How does Household sync work?
Household sync keeps two phones’ cards and logs in sync. Turn it on in Settings → Household sync. The person who creates the household needs PerkWatch Watch; the partner joins free and gets every Watch feature.
Tap Send invite to share a tap-to-join link. Each invite works once and expires after 15 minutes. Joining combines both phones’ cards and logs, after a backup.
Sync is end-to-end encrypted with AES-256-GCM. The key stays on your two phones, so the pairing service stores only an encrypted copy that neither we nor Cloudflare can read.
How much does PerkWatch Watch cost?
PerkWatch is free for up to four cards, with Hub, logging, MLA and SCRA notes, one active spend goal, and snapshot export and import.
PerkWatch Watch adds reminders, Calendar, household sync, unlimited cards, and unlimited spend goals. It costs $1.99 a month or $12.99 a year in the US; the App Store shows your local price before you confirm.
The yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. The monthly plan has no trial.
One subscription covers a household: the person who creates the household pays, and the partner gets Watch free.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose PerkWatch Watch, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid the next charge.
Deleting the app or using Reset local data doesn’t cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can’t see your payment details or issue refunds.
How do I restore my subscription on a new phone?
Sign in with the same Apple Account, open PerkWatch, and tap Restore Purchases in the Watch paywall or in Settings.
If you’re the partner in a household, ask the household creator for a new invite and join again on the new phone.
What does PerkWatch know about me?
We can’t see what you track. Your wallet, logs, name, and settings stay on your phone. There are no accounts, no ads, and no sale of data. Purchases are handled by Apple, and PerkWatch never receives your card number, billing address, or Apple Account details.
Your data leaves your phone only when you choose to share it: household sync (end-to-end encrypted), snapshot files you send yourself, and notes you send through Feedback & suggestions or the form on this page. Read the full privacy policy.
Does PerkWatch earn money when I apply for a card?
No. PerkWatch has no affiliate links. Every apply button opens the issuer’s own public page, and PerkWatch earns no commission, referral fee, or other payment when you apply or are approved. No issuer pays to be listed. See the affiliate disclosure.
How do you keep card details accurate?
Every month, we check the card catalog against the issuers’ public pages and fix what changed in the next app update.
Fees and credits can still change between checks, so confirm amounts on the issuer’s site or app before you spend or cancel a card. If something looks wrong, tell us with the form above and choose the topic Card or credit details.
Are the military notes official advice?
No. MLA and SCRA notes, fee-waiver dates, days left, and plan steps are general information and estimates. Issuers decide waivers.
PerkWatch is not affiliated with any branch of the U.S. military, the Department of Defense, or any card issuer, and it isn’t legal, tax, or credit advice. Confirm with the issuer and, if you need it, your legal assistance office.
